Action Required

I am not a Catholic. However, I commend Pope Francis for
recognizing global weather disruption as a moral issue. It is truly immoral
that humankind would choose business as usual, sucking up every last drop of
oil in order to enrich the rich and leaving a sadly degraded world behind, when
a workable solution is within reach.
We, the people, must inform our representatives of this
solution and convince them we want and demand action on this issue. That is why
nearly 900 Citizens’ Climate Lobby volunteers went to Washington, D.C., this week.
Politicians need to know that carbon fee and dividend
policies, like the one proposed by CCL, have been implemented successfully. In
British Columbia, a similar policy not only reduced emissions, but created
jobs, lowered income taxes and stimulated the economy.

involved, or tell your congressional representative that you support “carbon
fee and dividend.” And don’t believe for one second you’re doing it to save
plants and animals, our water supply, the oceans, the very earth we live on for
the next generation — you’re doing it for all of us, those living today.

The End is near, we just need to have another source of taxes to pay to the government so they can provide less service with more regulations.

The world will realize the need for a global solution at about the same time that the warming process becomes irreversible due to industrialization. We will be like the frog that was comfortable in the warming water...and when the water came to be boiling it was a little too late for the frog to jump out of the pot.

Carbon fee and dividend makes enormous sense!
This way citizens would RECEIVE the carbon.
fees, not pay them. That would cancel out the inevitable price spikes in dirty energy, and it holds fossil fuel corporations personally responsible for the damages they cause, hundreds of billions of dollars per year. (Harvard School of Medicine and others).
With this policy, the fee payments to citizens would be.
there for purchasing low carbon alternatives, which are growing rapidly. That would lower emissions, as it has in BC Canada with a similar policy. They also lowered taxes with their fees.
