Take action on climate change
How many more firefighters must perish? How many more acres of forest
and homes must burn?
How many more wild creatures must run for their lives? How much more smoke must gush into our already polluted air basin?
And how much longer must we wait for lawmakers to pay attention to the scientists who have warned us that worsening droughts and more intense wildfires would happen if we ignored global warming?
Please demand that your members of Congress take action on climate change. Tell them to pass legislation that will make industries pay a steadily rising price for emitting the heat-trapping gases that are warming our planet.
Until that happens, our brave firefighters and beautiful woodlands will continue to pay the ultimate price.
